The State of Soccer in Hunters Creek Minimize
HCSC coaches, this page of the website is dedicated to you.  As a coach I realize you volunteer most of your time and I appreciate everything you do for the kids and for the club.  I am going to add information to this page that I hope will be useful to you in many areas of coaching.  Player development is focused on four main principles.  Technical, Tactical, Physical and Mental are called the four pillars of soccer.  I hope to be able to give you some advice and some ideas to help you in these areas.  In addition it is obvious that we could all use help in the management of soccer including players, parents, the board and referees.  I will include some information in these areas as well.  Please e-mail me or let me know if you have any questions.  Director of Competitive Soccer - Bobby Sauer - robertsauer2001@aol.com.

 Coaching Tips: Minimize

Coaches, this is a nice 1v1 game that can be used at almost any level.  It works on 1v1 attacking skills, 1v1 defending skills, passing for possession and moving to receive.  Great things for players to work on!

In a small grid (about 10 by 15 yards), players play 1v1, scoring when one player receives a ball from the target on one end and plays a pass to the target on the opposite end. Players always play in the same direction. This game is best played "make it, take it" because this forces defenders to play in transition. Play for one minute before players switch roles.
